MILLINOCKET – Marion Evans, 64, made this world a better place before she was received into the arms of Christ Sept. 14, 2007. She was a loving wife of 42 years, a devoted mother, sister and caring friend. Marion worked at Millinocket Regional Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of the American Legion Unit 80 Ladies Auxiliary. She also attended Millinocket Baptist Church. She had several special groups of friends; the club girls, the hospital gang and the card group. Anyone who knew her was touched by her. She is survived by her loving husband, Glen David Evans and their children, daughter, Tona Evans of Bangor, daughter, Missy and her son-in-law, Joseph Clark, of Millinocket, and son, David and her daughter-in-law, Angie Evans, of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren, the apple of her eye, granddaughter, Casey Freeman and her sweet, little grandson, Michael Clark; a one-of-a-kind sister, Doreen and her husband, Jack Picard; a wonderful brother, Richard and his wife, Janice Currie; her mother, Pearl Possinier; Uncle Clayton and his wife, Helen Currie, and family; two special aunts, Eunice “Noonie” and her husband, Kenneth Barnett, and family, and Iola Pasquine and family; a special sister-in-law, Virginia “Midge” and her husband, Jerry Thompson, and family; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father, Kelvie Currie; and grandparents, Richard and Clare Currie, and Harry and Mae Estes. Visiting hours will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Millinocket Baptist Church, where a 2 p.m. service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
