PENOBSCOT – Marion G. Rowell, 97, beloved wife of Orman H. Rowell, to whom she was married for 61 years, went to be with him, June 18, 2006, after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 13, 1908, in Portland, the daughter of Raymond P. Garall and Marian G. Garall. Marion lived independently until six days before her passing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was forever crocheting, knitting or sewing something for the children. They all loved to go to “grammie’s house.” Marion will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Marion, “grammie,” is survived by two sons, Kenneth O. Rowell and wife, Kathleen, of Bangor and Richard E. Rowell of Searsport; eight grandchildren, Debbie Frasco of Searsport, Sandra Rozum and husband, Dennis, of Chesterfield, Va., Kenneth Rowell Jr. of Hampden, Katherine Davis and husband, Richard, of Bangor, Karen Hutchinson and husband, Linwood, of Hermon, Patricia Smith and husband, Steve, of Richmond, Va., Kevin Rowell of Sabattus, Richard A. Rowell and wife, Sue, of Bangor; seven great-grandchildren, Anthony Frasco, Aaron Frasco, Kendra Davis, Kathleen Hutchinson, Brandon Davis, Michael Hutchinson, Ricky Rowell; three great-great-grandchildren, Carolana Frasco, Nicholas Frasco and Autum Dawn Davis. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann L. and Merton E. Kimball; daughter-in-law, Rosemary P. Rowell; great-grandson, Lee Rowell. Marion is also survived by loving and caring friends, Vivian Farnham and Ruby and Richard Fowler, who were longtime neighbors. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, with David Abbott, pastor of the Belfast United Methodist Church, officiating.
