STAFFORD, Va. – It is with much love and sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Huberta Daigle King. She passed June 16, 2007, surrounded by her family and close friends at her home, after a brief illness with colon cancer. Marion was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Old Town, daughter of Ralph and Myrtle Daigle. Marion worked at the University of Maine and later Dow Air Force Base. She relocated to Virginia in 1965, and was employed by the federal government, until her retirement in 1979. Her most successful venture was as a businesswoman, developing various businesses with her daughter, Ellen, in the Virginia area. Her passions were gardening, taking care of her animals and spending time with her family She is survived by three loving children, Sharon Binette and husband, Clarence, of Bradley, Ellen King of Stafford, Va., and Randy King of New Port Richey, Fla.; two grandchildren, Dr. Amanda Craig and husband, Douglas, of New York City and Samantha King of New Port Richey, Fla.; and one sister, Pauline Daigle of Lake Worth, Fla. She will be missed very much by everyone who knew her. Her burial will be private at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Old Town.
