JONESPORT – Marion M. Mason, 93, died July 31, 2004, at the hospital in Machias. She was born Jan. 29, 1911, in Jonesport, the daughter of the late Clifford L. and Mable (Kelley) Davis. Marion was a member of the Indian River Grange in Jonesport. She had a talent for and enjoyed playing beano. She is survived by her children, Jean Parnell and Betty Black, both of Jonesport, and Kirby McCollum and his wife, Marilyn, of Leonardtown, Md.; 14 grandchildren, Linda Kelly, Betty-Ellen Kiah, both of Maine, Mary Newhall, Charles McCollum, LuAnn Darrell, and Douglas R. McCollum, all of Massachusetts, Robert L. McCollum Jr. of Toronto, Ontario, Kathy Black, Patricia Black and John McCollum of Virginia, Betsy Floyd of Georgia, Patricia Vry of North Carolina, Douglas J. McCollum of New Jersey, and Philip McCollum of Maryland; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Mason, in 1948; a son, Robert McCollum; and a daughter, Joan Lawrence; siblings, Carl Davis, Lila Whiting, Guy Davis, Amanda Simmons, Lula Davis and Clifford Davis Jr. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Greenwood Cemetery in Jonesport, officiated by Pastor George Woodward.
