WEST GARDINER – Mark W. Schools of West Gardiner, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at the MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. He was born in Houlton on June 16, 1951, a son of Patrick E. Sr. and Una Botting Schools. He was employed at the Augusta Mental Health Institution for more than 27 years and retired in 1998. Mark was an avid hunter, fisherman and a lover of the outdoors and four wheeling. His heart was always at his camp in Houlton. He was predeceased by his son, Adam W. Schools, who died July 24, 1982; his father, Patrick E. Schools Sr., on Oct 3, 1998; his mother, Una Schools on March 18, 1998; and his brother, Patrick E. Schools Jr. on July 22, 1979. He is survived by two nieces; and several cousins in the Houlton area. Visiting hours will be 12-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.
