ORONO – Martha Alice Benson, 75, passed away Jan. 30, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born June 9, 1932, in Monroe, the daughter of Robert and Juanita (Puckett) Benson. Martha had a love of agriculture all of her life. She cherished her family. She lived at Longfellow Heights, Orono, for more than 20 years, until she became a nursing home resident about two years ago. She is survived by two sisters, Nellie House of Lee and Dorothy Mitchell of Corinna; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
