BREWER – Mary E. Sickles, 89, wife of the late Charles Sickles, died June 17, 2007, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born May 2, 1918, in East Millinocket, the daughter of George and Regina (Casey) McCarron. Mary was a cook for many years for Taylor Hospital, Bangor City Hospital and the University of Maine at Bangor. She is survived by four children, Charlene and her husband, James Milliken, of Bangor, Charles “Skip” Sickles, Margaret and her husband, David Getchell, Timothy Sickles and his wife, Dianne, all of Brewer; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Leo McCarron; and two sisters, Marjorie Zervus and Inez Card. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of the service. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
