BANGOR – Mary Ellen Samra, 63, died Sept. 15, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 30, 1941, in Bangor, the daughter of Jeremiah A. and Winifred M. (Churchill) Driscoll. Mary Ellen graduated from John Bapst High School, Class of 1959. She was employed by Means Investment Company for 24 years and later Dirigo Investments. She was a life-long communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, member of St. Mary’s Choir and sponsor of St. Mary’s Divorced and Separated Support group. She volunteered at the homeless shelter and at the food cupboard. She is survived by four children, Frank Samra and wife, Deborah, of Fortson, Ga., Joseph Samra of Bangor, Cynthia Michaud and husband, Edward, of Bangor, Elizabeth Huntley and husband, Steven, of Bangor; two sisters, Ruth Magnan and husband, Lawrence of Redmond, Wash., Margaret Brennan and husband, Robert, of Wakefield, Mass.; grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Joshua and Kacie Samra, Robert and Sarah Campbell, Matthew Michaud, Joseph Huntley, Arick Brown and Katarina Huntley; one great-granddaughter, Zoe Samra; an uncle, Edward Churchill and wife, Glenna, of Winterport; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, John. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, pastor, presider. Interment will be in the family lot at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by Foley Funeral Service.
