FRANKFORT – Mary “Helen” Ginn, 80, passed away June 27, 2004. She was born Jan. 25, 1924, in Bangor, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret Ann Tripp. Helen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She raised 11 children. She was very comfortable in her home doing the cooking, gardening, canning, sewing and making dolls. She loved having her grandchildren come and stay with her and teaching them how to sew and crochet and knit. She is survived by five sons, Bernard D. Ginn Sr. and Mary of Winterport, James L. Ginn and Linda of Frankfort, Stanley “Dick” Ginn and Mary of Winterport, Clinton “Hottie” Ginn Jr. and Ruth, Andrew C. Ginn and Kathy, all of Frankfort; five daughters, Louise M. Bragg and Dale of Stockton Springs, Margaret A. Parsons and Robert of Winterport, Jane H. Rancourt and Charles of Stillwater, Mary Jean Philbrick and Lewis of Winterport, Nancy L. Hammond and Gerald of Houlton. She is survived by 72 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special sisters-in-law, Lois Ginn of Clifton, Margaret Ginn of Steuben and Marjorie Tripp of Holden. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Clinton Ginn Sr.; son, Kenneth Ginn; one sister, Eva Simons; three brothers, Joseph, Peter and Ralph Tripp. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2004, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, with Pastor Randall Wilbur officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. A gathering of conversation will follow the interment.
