MILBRIDGE – Mary Jane Pride, 55, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born March 19, 1952, in Rumford, the daughter of Dorothy (Gallant) Sanchas of Rumford and the late Arthur Sanchas. She graduated from Catherine McCauley High School, Portland. She graduated from Southern Maine College, South Portland in 1982, as a registered nurse. She worked at Maine Medical Center, Portland; Johnson Memorial Hospital, North Carolina; Healthsouth Recovery, Texas; and most recently at Narraguagus Healthcare Facility, Milbridge, as a registered nurse and charge nurse. Mrs. Pride shared 34 years of marriage with Daniel H. Pride of Milbridge. In addition to her husband and mother, family members include a daughter, Tina Ann Calderon and husband, David, of Kennedale, Texas; three grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole and Tyler, all of Texas. She also shared her life with two stepchildren, Scott Pride of California and Heather Chapman of South Portland. She was also survived by her siblings, Catherine Rand, Jonathan Berleigh, Maureen Desjardins, Margaret McNeal, Laurence Sanchas, Joseph Sanchas, Louis Sanchas, Rosemary Russell and James Sanchas; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be remembered for her care and love of others and will be missed by many. Relatives and friends may visit with the family 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Owen Beal officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge.
