LAMBERT LAKE and BAILEYVILLE – Mary Victoria Deveau, 97, died July 10, 2007, at a Bangor nursing home. She was born Feb. 2, 1910, in Vanceboro, the daughter of Israel and Lilly (Wright) Trask. Mary was the seventh of 14 children. She enjoyed playing bingo and poker. Mary had lived with her daughter, June, in Bangor for the last two years. She is survived by one son, Robert Devoe and Liz of Bangor; one daughter, June Bowden of Bangor; grandchildren, Terry Sherman of Princeton, Larry Sherman of Bangor, Danny and Mike Devoe, both of Lambert Lake, Becky Devoe of Vanceboro, Ricky Devoe of Baileyville, Vicki Coffin of Carmel, Bobbi Jo Southard of Newburgh, Mary Bowden of Bangor, Stanley Worster of Brewer, and James Worster of Milford; special great-grand-child, Zach Emerson; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Barney Devaou; two children, Ethel Spear and Bernard Devoe; two grandchildren, Scott Devoe and Michael T. Sherman; and 13 brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held noon Saturday, July 14, at Vanceboro Cemetery with the Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating.
