DANFORTH – Masha N. Fitzpatrick, 94, wife of the late Don E. Fitzpatrick, died July 30, 2004, at a Houlton healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 4, 1909, in Kingman, the daughter of Orin and Anna (Briggs) Nelson. Masha was very active in the community during her lifetime. She was a member of the Washington County Extension, the Grange, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Tri County Knitting Guild, and the Danforth Methodist Church. In 1965, she and her husband received the Outstanding Tree Farm Award for the state of Maine. She is survived by two sons, Richard Fitzpatrick and his wife, Ardis, of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., and David Fitzpatrick of Bancroft; a daughter, Sandra and her husband, Joseph MacDonald, of Bancroft; a sister, Beulah Preble of Millinocket; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Don E. Fitzpatrick Jr. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Danforth Methodist Church, with the Rev. Leon Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Haynesville.
