MATTHEW JOSEPH LACROSSE BANGOR and CARMEL – Matthew Joseph LaCrosse, 25, was taken away from his family and friends Nov. 9, 2007, and returned March 7, 2008. He was born July 17, 1982, in Bangor, the son of Albert J. and Ellen L. (Winingar) LaCrosse. He will be dearly missed by all, remembering his jovial personality and his contagious smile. He graduated from Hermon High School in 2000 and was employed by many local restaurants prior to his permanent employment at Home Depot, Bangor. He frequently enjoyed being on his computer, four-wheeling, camping, fishing and hiking with family and friends. Matthew is survived by his parents of Carmel; a sister and her husband, Brandie and Steven DeWitt of Brewer; maternal grandmother, R. Kay Cousins of Hermon; maternal great-grandmother, Louise Proffitt of Richmond, Mo.; life-long friends, Amy Durant and her daughter, Lyndsey, and James Henry; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Family and friends may visit in celebration of Matthew’s life 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
