HOLBROOK, Mass. – Maureen A. (Madden) Adamo, 63, died Sept. 22, 2007, at Brock-ton Hospital, Massachusetts, after a period of failing health. She was born in Boston. She grew up and attended school in Holbrook, Mass., graduating from Holbrook High School in 1961. She had been a resident for 57 years. She was an Avon representative for 35 years. She was a special police office and crossing guard in Holbrook, Mass. She owned her own cake decorating business. She had been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader. She was involved with the Ladies Fire Auxiliary. Maureen was the beloved wife of 46 years to Anthony V. Adamo; loving mother of Angela Adamo-Lamberti of Holbrook, Mass., Janeen Loughlin and her husband, Doug, of Oregon, Paul Adamo and his wife, Maureen, of Bridgewater and Maureen-Marie Cipullo and her husband, Peter, of Bangor; and sister of the late Milicent Goodwin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph, Ashley, Brittney, Frank, Anthony, MacKenzie, Sophia and Hailey; several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at Hurley Funeral Home, 127 South Franklin St., Route 37, Holbrook, Mass., with a funeral Mass 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be private.
