ATKINSON – Maurice L. Mahar, 11, went to be with our Lord Aug. 13, 2007. He was born May 24, 1996, the son of Luke P. and NormaJean (Mulholland) Mahar. Maurice attended Milo Elementary School and was part of the Boy Scouts of America, Katahdin Area Council No. 111. He enjoyed animals, being outdoors and especially working on the farm with his dad. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Andrew Adam Mahar of Bangor; a sister, Rachel Lynn Mahar of Milo; his paternal grandmother, Henrietta M. (Mahar) Moores of Lubec; his maternal grandmother, Yvette (Couture) Mulholland of Lubec; several aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Irving Maurice Mahar Sr.; and his maternal grandfather, Maurice Leo Mullholland. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thurs-day, Aug. 16, at North Atkinson Cemetery, with Father James Robichaud officiating. After the service, friends are invited to share fellowship and refreshments at Atkinson Town Hall.
