BANGOR – Maxine Alice Van Allen, 79, died Dec. 16, 2007, at a local hospital. Maxine was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Bangor, the daughter of Alfred and Bessie (Knowles) Jellison. She will be missed by her many friends at Eastside Rehabilitation, particularly her three “room-mates.” While a resident there, she enjoyed countless games of crazy eight’s, while bingo was her passion. She will be lovingly remembered by three sons, Roger and his wife, Glenna Van Allen, of Spokane, David and his wife, Kathy Van Allen, of Winterport, and Jerry Van Allen of Bangor; two daughters, Cheryl and her husband, Steve Moran, of Glenburn, and Connie and her husband, Stephen Fleming, of Dedham; a very special daughter-in-law, Susan; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Maxine was predeceased by her precious sons, Donnie and Kevin. The family thanks the staff of Eastside for their loving care and attention to Maxine. Friends and relatives are invited to a casual gathering of remembrance 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Greenlawn Funeral Home.
