BURLINGTON – Maxine L. Harris, 85, passed away June 16, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born May 15, 1923, in Burlington, the daughter of Kirk and Fern (Porter) Fogg. Maxine and her husband, Alden, worked for 23 years at Nicatous Lake as care takers. She was a 50-year member of Eskutassis Grange, a former member of Hilltop Club, Burlington Snow Hounds Club and an officer in the Twin Towns Senior Citizens. Maxine was an avid Red Sox fan for many years. She enjoyed her garden and worked in it up to a few days ago. She was an excellent cook and known for her famous yeast rolls and donuts. She is survived by a sister, Lucy Ludden of West Enfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Dean Sr. and Helen Fogg of Burlington; sisters-in-law, Shirley Bailey of Farmington, Jean Thurlow of Enfield and Helen Harris of Burlington; brother-in-law, Willmont Thurlow of Enfield; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Keith Fogg; and sisters, Gertrude Fogg and Louise Fleming. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at Mount Repose Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare of Maine, care of Healthcare Charities, P.O.
