ASHLAND – Melvin G. Jimmo, 58, died June 9, 2005 at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. He was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Masardis, the son of Ned and Anna (Long) Jimmo. He attended Ashland schools and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a former member of the VFW Post 9699 in Ashland. He worked at Times Microwave Systems in Connecticut as a troubleshooter for 30 years until he took sick two years ago. Melvin had a love for antique cars, especially the El Camino. He is survived by three sisters, including Sharon Caron and her companion, Roy Abel, of Dover, Fla., and Ashland, Nadine Martin and her husband, David, of Jefferson, Darlene Sullivan and her husband, Steve, of Sheridan; one brother, Jody Jimmo and his wife, Jane, of Bangor; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at the Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland.
