BANGOR – Merrill “Bub” Leighton passed away July 31, 2006, at a local hospital. He was born Nov. 19, 1927, the son of Gerald and Florence Leighton. He is survived by his wife, Elena Leighton of Bangor; his daughter, Judy Doyle of Oklahoma; two brothers, Owen and wife, Donna, of Newport and Donald and wife, Eunice, of Brewer; grandchildren, several nieces, and a very special nephew of Newport. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Holt of Missouri. At Merrill’s request there will be no services.
