TEWKSBURY, Mass. – Merrill F. Hughes, 72, died Saturday afternoon, May 22, 2004, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Everett, Mass., the son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Wilson) Hughes. He is survived by two brothers, Edwin C. Hughes of Visalia, Calif., and Robert K. Hughes of Beverly; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Warren A. Hughes. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. At the family’s request there are no visiting hours.
