GREER, S.C. – Michael Anderson, died Oct. 30, 2004, in Greer, S.C., after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 5, 1980, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Roderick and Ann (Brown) Dampier. Mike moved often with his Air Force family, but considered Maine his home. He attended Brewer High School and was attending Greenville College, pursuing a degree in radio broadcasting. Mike is survived by his parents, brothers and best friends, Sean, and Chuck, of Greer, S.C.; his devoted grandmother, Meme’ Teresa Brown; and grandfather, Richard Brown; aunts and uncles, Inez Pennington, of Orrington, Teresa, and Dennis Baughman, of North Carolina, Andree’ Dampier, of California, Rhonda Brown, of Wiscasset, Richard Brown, of Brewer, Fred, and Stephanie Brown, of Bangor, John Brown, of Bangor, Don, and Jeni-lyn, of Hudson, Ed Brown, of Eddington; special great-aunt and uncle, Kay, and Ken Rowell, of Bangor; many cousins, especially Danny, of North Carolina, and Ellie Perry, of Nova Scotia; best friends, Shawn, and Gabe Roller, of Greer, S.C., Katie, and Annie, both of Bangor, Neil Piper of Brewer. He was predeceased by his great-grandmother, Inez Dwyer; and cousins, Jimmy, and Amanda Brown. Funeral Mass will be at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Taylors, S.C. with private interment in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
