PROSPECT, Conn., and FORT FAIRFIELD – Michael Harold Keegan, 52, passed away Oct. 25, 2007, at his home in Prospect, Conn. Michael was born Oct. 2, 1955, to Phyllis Finnemore (Keegan) Barnes and Harold Keegan in Fort Fairfield. Mike attended school in Fort Fairfield and graduated with the Class of 1974. He was, at the time of his death, employed by American Electro Products for the last five years. His hobbies included working in his yard and playing pool. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and NASCAR fan. Michael was predeceased by his father, Harold Keegan; and stepfather, Harry N. Barnes, both of Fort Fairfield. Michael is survived by his mother, Phyllis Finnemore Barnes of Fort Fairfield; brothers, Richard Keegan of Fort Fairfield and Allan and Bridgette Keegan of Terryville, Conn.; sisters, Michael and Carol Ireland of Ashland, Leo and Beverly Corriveau of Presque Isle, Donna Keegan and fianc?, Wayde Trotter, of Fort Fairfield, Michelle Keegan Jackson of Fort Fairfield, Marylee Keegan Mattson of Rhine-lander, Wis., and Mike and Cathy Barnes Edmunds of Fort Fairfield; a special cousin, Susan Giggey Bergeron of Fort Fairfield; special uncle and aunt, Percy and Gladys Keegan, uncle and aunts, Prep and Joyce Newcomb and Nancy Finnemore, all of Fort Fairfield; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, at Chase Parkway Memorial / Albini Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, Conn. Family and friends may come and pay their respects 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A service of remembrance will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
