MILLINOCKET – Michael W. Cote, 35, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born on April 9, 1969, the son of Richard L. and Diana D. (Birmingham) Cote. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He was really good at video golf (he often won), and loved to help his parents at camp and around the house. He loved to play with his cat, Sylvester and missed his beagle, Sparkplug. Nesowadnehunk Lake was his favorite place to fly fish. One of his favorite days there was spent on “Spider Island” with his wife. He was very fond of his eight nieces and nephews and was also very fond of his “girlfriends”, Carol Haines and Gail Spack. He loved his mother more than anyone could imagine. He was fondly referred to as “Codeman” by his friends. He also loved to go on rides with his wife (he always said she was his good luck charm to see wild life). He is survived by his wife, Angela (Bragg) Cote of Millinocket; a son, Jonathan Michael Cote of Millinocket, his parents, Richard “Sonny” and Diana Cote of Millinocket; his sisters, Debbie Morrison and her companion, Jarod Briggs, of Millinocket and Leslie and husband, Michael Bragdon, also of Millinocket; his paternal grandfather, Richard L. Cote, Sr. and wife, Sylvia, of Millinocket and paternal grandmother, Yvonne and husband, Sylvio Caron, of Millinocket; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles including special aunts, Aunt Leta and Aunt Joann. Mike also leaves many special friends, including Troy Sincyr, Peter Haines, Rollo Hathorn, Eric George, and Chris Cosgro. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Roger and Bertha Birmingham.
