MILLINOCKET – Mildred Pasquine, 81, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1926, in Millinocket, the daughter of John and Marge Power. Mildred was a graduate of Stearns High School, Class of 1944. She worked for Millinocket Theatre for a short time, then went to work for the telephone company as an operator, a job which she held for many years. Mildred was a communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish. She loved gardening, especially flowers, and enjoyed following the Patriots and Red Sox. Mildred is survived by her husband of 59 years, Francis Pasquine of Millinocket; sisters, Laura O’Brien and her husband, Dr. Jim, of Boston, and Joyce Mackey and her husband, Norman, of Curtis, Ohio; two godsons, Michael Pasquine and his wife, Cyndi, and John Power, all of Millinocket; three sisters-in-law, Ann Power, Betty Pasquine and Iola Pasquine, all of Millinocket; special nephews, Doug Adams and Tom Power; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by a special friend, Bertha Raymond. Mildred was predeceased by two brothers, Vaughn and Patrick Power. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 112 Maine Ave., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Mildred may be sent to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
