EASTPORT – Milton Blaine Stevens 83, passed away Dec. 18, 2004, at a Calais health-care facility. He was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Pembroke the son of Arthur L. and Nellie May (Moore) Stevens. Milton served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. He married Mary H. Carlisle on July 31, 1948. He worked at many jobs in the area including foreman of one of the local sardine factories. He is survived by his wife, Mary H. (Carlisle) Stevens; two sons, David B. Stevens and his wife, Jeanne, of Portland, Paul W. Stevens and his wife, Mary, of Jay; five grandchildren, Glenn Stevens of Maryland, Rachael Ladd and her husband, Ray, of Windham, Ellen Stevens of Leeds, Eric Stevens and his wife, Wendy, of Frenchville, Lynn Amburg and her husband, Tony, of Steep Falls; three great-grandchildren, Grace Ladd of Windham, Ashley Stevens of Frenchville, Ethan Amburg of Steep Falls; sisters, Greta of Calais, Maizy of Orono, and also Weston Moore and his wife, Irene, of Calais. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at the Flagg Funeral Home with the Rev. Sheldon Keezer officiating, interment in Bayside Cemetery, Eastport.
