EAGLE LAKE – Milton Paradis, 62, died peacefully April 16, 2008, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born July 20, 1945, in Plaisted, the son of Ovena and Sadie (Bouchard) Paradis. Milton was in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post No. 176, Eagle Lake. Milton was also a lifetime member of Eagle Lake Rod and Gun Club. His favorite pastime was collecting baseball cards, and his passion for Ford pickups and John Deere tractors will not be forgotten. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Emma (Marquis) Paradis of Eagle Lake; one son, Mark Paradis of Tamarack, Fla.; five stepchildren, Diane and her husband, Ken Richard, of Buckston, Gerald and his wife, Phyllis Marquis, of Wallagrass, Armand Marquis and his fiancee, Chantal, of St. Pamphile, Sue and her husband, Alan Chamberland, of St. Agatha, Ann Daigle and Dennis Nickerson of Gorham; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson, Evan Marquis; one sister, Patricia Belanger and her husband, Adrien, of St. John Plantation; one brother, Richard Paradis and his wife, Diane, of Wallagrass; one sister-in-law, Annie Paradis of Allagash; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Nelson Paradis. A Mass of Christian burial will full military honors will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Committal services will be held May 16 at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Northern Maine General/Father Joseph Marcoux Fund, P.O. Box 310, Eagle Lake, ME 04739. Envelopes will be available at the church.
