SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Miriam M. Gresham, 77, of San Bernardino, Calif., passed away at her home Thursday, Oct. 15, 2003. Mrs. Gresham was born Dec. 12, 1925, in Bucksport, where she was raised until moving to San Bernardino, Calif., in 1943. She was a registered nurse for Dr. Jerome Singer for 20 years. She received her bachelor’s degree at USC, and was a recreational pilot, flying out of Morro airport and had even flown solo across the country. She is survived by her son, Brandon Humphrey of Hemet, Calif.; two grandchildren, Shari Humphrey of Carlsbad, Calif., and David Humphrey of Hemet, Calif.; sister in law, Esther Macomber of Newburyport, Mass., and her companion, Edward Unickel of San Bernardino, Calif. Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area No. 3, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, Calif. Interment will follow.
