ROCK HILL, S.C. – Mr. Earl Fred Hyatt, 73, died Monday, July 25, 2005, at Rock Hill Health-care. He was the son of the late James Murray Hyatt and the late Lela Turbeville. Mr. Hyatt attended Garden Sanctuary Church of God and was the former owner of Hyatt’s Beauty and Barber Shop in Harrington for 40 years. He was a veteran and a lifetime member of the Tuscan Masonic Lodge No. 106 in Maine. Upon his retirement, he moved back to Rock Hill in 1994. Mr. Hyatt is survived by a son, Shawn M. Hyatt of Portland; three brothers, O’neal Hyatt and Dewey Hyatt, both of Rock Hill and John C. Hyatt of Catawba; four sisters, Retha Fowler and Edna Manning, both of Rock Hill and Daisy Hardee and Verbenia Shelley, both of Conway, S.C. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732, and at other times the home of Retha Fowler, 531 Fowler Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2005, at the Garden Sanctuary Church of God, with the Rev. Mike Wooten and the Rev. Gerald Bennett officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road.
