HOULTON, OLD TOWN and PARKMAN- Muriel Mae Madore, 75, went to be the Lord on Sept. 10, 2004. She was born Jan. 29, 1929, daughter of the late Freda and Bud Howard. She worked for many years at the Penobscot Shoe Company in Old Town. Muriel is survived by one daughter, Sandra Ellis and her husband, Barry, of Parkman; one granddaughter, Shirley Ellis of Guilford; two great-grandsons, Travis and Tyler Ellis of Guilford; two nephews, Reggie St. Louis of Old Town and Rodney Taylor of Skowhegan, many special nieces and nephews by marriage. She was a loving stepmother to Gary Madore and wife, Carol, of Preston, Conn., Sheila Ames and husband, Dwayne, of Pittsfield, Tanya Jarvis and husband, Dave, of Randolph, Edith Rogers and husband, Ken, of Brewer. She was predeceased by one stepdaughter, Sylvia Violette of Bradley. She had many stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren that she loved very much. A memorial gathering will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Bruce Stevens officiating and also anyone who would like to speak. Burial will be held immediately following the service at the Milford Cemetery.
