CARIBOU – Nancy B. Day, 78, died May 11, 2005, at Caribou. She was born Nov. 24, 1926, at Caribou, the daughter of Frank J. and Agnes (Plourde) Bouchard. She was a graduate of the Caribou High School, Class of 1944.She was employed at the Vaughn House as a bar tender for 10 years and was the hostess at W.T. Grants restaurant. She also delivered for Meals on Wheels, which she enjoyed very much. Nancy was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Lister-Knowlton Post No. 9389, where she held several different roles and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Henry B. Pratt Post No. 15 American Legion. She was a loving and devoted mother to her family and she enjoyed bingo, bowling and playing cards. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Sharon Day of Mesa, Ariz. and Mack M. Day of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debra and Leonard Gover of Connor and Robin J. Maker of Woodridge, Va.; one sister, Lillian Wark of Caribou. Me mere “Mace” will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, one grandson, Dave Martin; two granddaughters, Tammy Martin and Linda Gover; two great-grandsons, Jared Patane and Braydon Martin. She was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2005, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Fr. L. Chanel Cyr, officiating.
