BANGOR – Nancy E. (Huntington) Foley, wife of the late Scott Eversole and William Foley, passed peacefully Nov. 11, 2006, surrounded by her family. Nancy was born March 10, 1931, to Christine L. (Lacy) and Walter E. Huntington. Nancy grew up in Hampden and lived in Kentucky, Illinois and Virginia for a number of years before returning to Maine. She enjoyed gardening, home decorating and sharing her time with family and friends. Nancy will be remembered for her devotion to family, enthusiasm for life and quiet strength. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Joyce and husband, Vernon Smith, of Carmel; her son, Frederick Eversole of Bucksport; and a very dear lifelong friend, Barbara Gray of Bangor; two sisters, Brenda Greser of Canton, Ga., and Donna Watters of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren, Damon, Eric, Christopher and Stephanie Eversole, Marie Ames and Angela Cossette; great-grandchildren, Damian and Andrew Ames, Hannah Cossette and Makayla Eversole; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, David; brother, Carlton; and great-granddaughter, Autumn. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, 449 Ohio St., Bangor.
