HANCOCK – Nelson J. Belliveau, 94, died Aug. 19, 2007, at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born April 24, 1913, in Malden, Mass., the son of Pius and Celenia (Gaudet) Belliveau. Nelson was an Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from the Malden Fire Department, Malden, Mass., and moved to Trenton, and more recently to Hancock. He enjoyed involvement in the Holiday Inn Fitness Center, American Legion Post No. 207 and Trenton Volunteer Fire Department. Nelson will be dearly remembered by the many employees and patrons of Shop ‘N Save, where he worked for 13 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Florence (Robinson) Belliveau; two daughters, Marcia Stratton and husband, Kendall, and Ruth Butters and husband, Richard. He will be sadly missed by great-grand-daughter, Alyssa; and great-great-grandson, Andrew Nelson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Marc, Gwen, Scott, Eric, Roy, Roberta, Pat-ricia, Daniel, Teri, David, Lori, Kenny and Jean; great-grand-children, Kristyn, Michael, Justin, Joshua, Miranda, Thomas, Alyssa, Corinne, Winter, Amanda, Danielle, Ian, Kyle, Mathew, Melissa, Adam, Noah and Adam B.; many close nieces and nephews, including Elaine, Stevie and Betty Ann. In addition to both parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Louise O’Neil; son, Robert Pink-ham; and two grandsons, Joey Spear and Eddie Pinkham. Calling hours will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Hancock.
