HARRINGTON – Norita T. “Tebo” Strout, 69, died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at her home in Harrington. She was born July 20, 1935, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Elvin and Norine (Woodworth) Tracy. Tebo was a member of the Harrington Baptist Church since 1982 which was of great comfort over the years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, cooking and genealogy, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a faithful employee of Delia’s Branch Grocery in Columbia for 20 years, and also worked at L. Ray Packing for many years, as well as Narraguagus High School for three years. Tebo served as selectman for the town of Harrington for several years and worked on the CETA program which involved restoring cemeteries in the area. In 1983, she graduated from Narraguagus High School in Harrington with her daughter, Tracy. Tebo will be sadly missed by her husband of 53 years, Stanley Strout; two sons, Mark Strout and his wife, Cindy and Gary Strout and his wife, Roxanne, all of Harrington; a daughter, Tracy Redimarker and her husband, Robert, of Addison; three granddaughters, Heather Thompson and her husband, Frank, Hilary Oliver and her husband, Steve and Holly Strout; five grandsons, Jeff Strout and his wife, April, Steve Strout and his wife, Maria, Scott Strout, Jason Redimarker, and Brent Redimarker and his wife, Laura; nine great-grandchildren, Spencer and Nathan Thompson, Laney Oliver, Cassandra, Hunter, Ashley, Anna and Evan Strout and Lindsey Redimarker; a brother, Elliott Tracy and his wife, Maureen of Buxton; a sister, Alice Young of Steuben; two special “grandsons”, Shawn Whitney and Kenneth Dinsmore; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant brother, Horace Tracy; and a granddaughter-in-law, Lindsay Strout. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Harrington Baptist Church, Main Street, Harrington, with Pastor Daniel Davis officiating.
