WASHBURN – Norma F. Thomas, 73, died Aug. 10, 2004, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility. She was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Houlton, the daughter of Harrison and Nellie (Brannen) Dewitt. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be fondly remembered and missed by many. Norma worked at Taterstate Foods in Washburn for many years where she met and enjoyed many friends and co workers. In her spare time she enjoyed baking and cooking, and sewing for her children. She is survived by a son, Michael C. Thomas of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Leasha A. Fitzherbert and husband, William “Bill” and their daughter, Chelsea Laine, of Washburn, Debra G.T. Deveau and her husband, Paul Greg and their daughter, Paigley Faith of Presque Isle; two stepgranddaughters, Billy Jo Fitzherbert of Washburn, Amy Lynn Mains of Newburgh; one great-stepgrandson, Ryan William Mains of Newburgh; a sister, Irene Margison of Hodgdon; special niece, Gail Bither; and nephew, Larry Margison; an aunt, Bessie Stockford of Oakfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence H. Thomas in October 2002. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Lawrence Beals officiating. Family and friends may call from 12 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Crouseville Cemetery.
