COLUMBIA FALLS – Norris H. Pineo, 87, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at a Milbridge health care facility. He was born Nov. 4, 1916, in Columbia Falls, the son of Fred B. and Lucy F. (Higgins) Pineo. Norris was a graduate of Columbia Falls High School, Class of 1935. He was a member and Past Commander of American Legion Post No. 09 in Machias, a past member of the Knights of Pythias. Norris was a former partner of the Pineo Lumber Co. in Columbia Falls and Centerville. For many years he was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, delivering mail in Columbia, Columbia Falls, Centerville and Jonesboro. Norris is survived by four children, Lita Bagley and her husband, Merton, of Columbia Falls, Larry Pineo and his wife, Karen, of East Corinth, Marvin Pineo and his wife, Velma, of Jonesboro, and Vance Pineo and his wife, Hilary, of Columbia Falls; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Emma Foss and her husband, Stanley Sr.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Estella (Knowlton) Pineo; four brothers, Fred, Ray, Joel and Morris Pineo; an infant sister, Marjorie Pineo; and the mother of his children, Margaret (Davis). Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday with Owen Beal officiating.
