OLD TOWN – Odella St. Louis, 84, passed away at a Brewer nursing facility Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Old Town, Dec. 8, 1920, daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Rose (LaBelle) St. Louis. Odella was educated in Old Town schools and worked for area mills and factories. She was a faithful communicant and member of Holy Family Parish in Old Town. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was a member of the Bangor Bingo Club. Odella will be remembered by many especially her family in which she assisted her mother in taking care of the younger sisters and brothers in the household. She was a special sister and friend to Bernice all of her life. She is survived and will be sadly missed by two sisters, Bernice St. Louis of Old Town and Antoinette Dempsey of Trumbull, Conn.; two brothers, Francis St. Louis and his wife, Jo, of Albany, N.Y., Charles St. Louis and his wife, Dot, of Milford; brother-in-law, Eddie Carney of Caribou, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Ellen Heath, Madeline Carney and Katherine Campbell; brother, Walter St. Louis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Parish in Old Town, with the Rev. Bill Labbe, celebrant. Committal will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Old Town following the service. Friends and family are invited to the Holy Family Parish Hall for a luncheon and continued fellowship following the burial.
