HOLIDAY, FLA. – Omar L. Stanchfield, 86, died Oct. 17, 2003, at Helen Ellis Hospital in Tarpon Springs, Fla. He was born in Monson, Feb. 8, 1917, and had resided in Shelton, Conn. He was a retired experimental painter in the department of Sikorsky Aircraft Company, an army veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion, and a member of the National Council of Senior Citizens. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Hazel; one son, Harold of Shelton, Conn.; two daughters, Bari Reali of Bradenton, Fla. and Jean Bishop of North Carolina; a sister, Marilyn Hill of Dover-Foxcroft, six grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held Nov. 22, 2 p.m. at the Dobies Funeral Home, Holiday, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, Fla., 34667.
