MONTICELLO – Pamela Swimm, 54, died Sept. 28, 2005, surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 6, 1950, at Houlton, the daughter of Russell and Jane (London) McKay. Pam was a graduate of Houlton High School and the University of Maine, Presque Isle, where she received her degree in social services. She owned and operated Dale’s Market with her husband, Dale, and worked as an inspector for McCain Foods for the past nine years. Pam is survived by her husband, Dale of Monticello; two sons, Marc Swimm and his wife, Megan, of Exeter, Jeffrey Swimm of Monticello; four grandchildren, Kirsten, Kira, Korbin and Kassidy Swimm, all of Exeter; one brother, Robert McKay and his wife, Ginny, of Florida; three sisters, Tessa Albert of Ludlow, Joyce Roach and her husband, Arnold, of Island Falls, Betty Mochom of Connecticut; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, James and Bill McKay. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Jewell Cemetery, Monticello.
