CARIBOU – Patricia Ann Bouchard, 80, went home to be with God Sept. 30, 2007. Her life ended the same way she had lived it, with dignity, strength and compassion for others. She was born May 16, 1927, in Gillespie Settlement, New Brunswick, the daughter of Bernie and Velma (Burtchell) Davenport. Her life is best described by a letter of thanks from her granddaughter, Shelly. Dear Grammy, It’s very bittersweet to accept such a gift from you. Your diamond ring is beautiful, just like you are. You know that I will wear it with pride, always think of you and take good care of it. We have lots of memories from the times we shared as we all grew up. Although over the years there has been physical distance between us, you have always been close at heart. You are an amazing woman and you have definitely passed down some positive traits that are evident in this family. Your honesty, thoughtfulness, kind and caring ways shine through time and time again. You are always close in our hearts. I’m proud to call you my grandmother and proud to be your granddaughter. Love you, Shelly. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Clarence; three sons, Robert and Priscilla Bouchard, Gordon and Kathy Bouchard, all of Appleton and Conrad and Debbie Bouchard of Louisiana; stepmother, Alice Davenport of Caribou; a brother, Omer Davenport of Pennsylvania; a very special sister, Marie and her husband, David Wilcox, of Caribou; and a brother, Luther and Lou Estabrook of Portland. She has four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers those wish may make donations in her name to the American Cancer Society Maine Division Inc., 52 Federal St., Brunswick, ME 04011-2194. Arrangements in care of Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou.
