ROGERS OLD TOWN – On May 12, 2008, Patty was called home to be with the Lord after a brief illness. She passed peacefully at a Bangor hospital with her loving family at her side. Patty was born March 10, 1935, in Old Town, the daughter of Vaughn and Elanor (Paul) Wickett. She attended Old Town schools. To Patty being surrounded by and cooking for her family was the most important thing in life. Patty is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Robert K. Rogers Sr., whom she met while he was stationed at Dow Air Force Base, Bangor. They shared everything in life; they were best friends. Also surviving are sons, Robert Rogers Jr. of Bangor and Mark and Joan Rogers of Milford; daughter, Lisa Rogers of Bangor; grandchildren, Mark of Old Town, Heather of Bangor, Benjamin and Thomas of Milford and Ian of Bangor; two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Neveah of Bangor; sisters, Phyllis York of Millinocket and Rosemary Finnegan of Tennesee; adopted daughter, Peggy Warenski; and several nieces, nephews and long time friends. Patty was predeceased by her father, Vaughn Wickett; mother, Elanor Wickett; sister, Beverly Taylor; brothers, Christopher, Reginald and Vaughn “Spanky” Wickett.
