CARIBOU – Patricia M. Parker, 54, wife of the late Lloyd Parker, died April 12, 2007, in Fort Kent, after a brief illness. She was born May 23, 1952, in Van Buren, the daughter of Ludger and Blanche (Grivois) Fortin. She was employed at Converse Shoe Co., Presque Isle, for 20 years and Mecon, Caribou, for 10 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and it was her strong faith that gave her the strength to get through the tough times. Pat was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family, and loved her grandchildren. She had a heart of gold, always putting others first before her self and was always willing to help. She loved her flowers, gardening and her cats, Molly and Snowball. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Sherri Parker of Woodland; a daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Joe Bernard of Fort Fairfield; seven brothers, Kevin Fortin and his wife, Evelyn, of Van Buren, Melvin Fortin and his wife, Thelma, of Pooler, Ga., Clayton Fortin of Rising Sun, Md., Denis Fortin of Bangor, Roy Fortin of Biddeford, Ken Fortin and his wife, Ann Marie, of Harrison and David Fortin of Portland; two sisters, Nancy Cormier and her husband, Clarence, of Standish and Gloria Linderman and her husband, Mike, of Manistee, Mich.; three grandchildren, Alexis and Kay-Lee Parker and Jonah Bernard; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Pat will be sadly missed by special friends, Connie Harmon of Caribou, who Pat thought of as a mother; Dave Quimby of Clinton, Delorse Tarbox of Woodland, Judy Bouchard of Caribou; and the girls, Jackie Shaw, Edma Patterson and Nancy Malenfant, all of Caribou; and her childhood friend, Omerine Hash of Caribou. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian burial. Spring interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
