EXETER – Patricia Shannon, 39, passed from this earth Thursday, March 17, 2005, surrounded by her family after battling pneumonia at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1965, in Boston, Mass., the daughter of William and Patricia (Cunningham) Shannon. Patricia was predeceased by her father, William J. Shannon Sr. She is survived by her mother, Patricia E. Shannon; six sisters and brothers, Edwina P. Damstra of Weymouth, Mass., Walter W. Shannon of Newburgh, Donna M. Newcomb of Weymouth, Mass., Brenda T. Shannon, of Exeter, William J. Shannon Jr., of Detroit, Robert F. Shannon, of Exeter; nine nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be in the Veterans National Cemetery in Bourne, Mass. Gifts in her memory may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
