SOLDIER POND – Patrick A. Bouchard, 76, husband of Elder Bouchard of Soldier Pond, died peacefully with his wife and children by his side Thursday, April 29, 2004. He was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Plaisted, the son of the late Abraham and Henriette Bouchard of Plaisted. He attended local schools. Patrick served in the U.S. Airforce for several years. Afterwards employed by Daigle Starch Co. for many years, and retired from Pinkham Lumber in Ashland. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Soldier Pond, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9609, and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Patrick loved to listen and dance to music. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 57 years; two daughters, Sandra Martin and her husband, Richard, of Fort Kent, Arlene Boyle and her husband, Rocky, of Holden; two sons, Father Robert Bouchard, Catholic Chaplain of the Maine State Prison in Warren, Kevin Bouchard and his wife, Amy, of Westbrook; four grandchildren, Candace Sims and her husband, Donnie, of Madawaska, Justin Martin and his fianc‚e, Nicole Madore, of Van Buren, Adam and Kristi Boyle of Holden, and fifth grandchild expected in May to Kevin and Amy; three great-grandchildren, Courtlin, Kevin and Katie Simes of Madawaska. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Clara Saucier, Jessie Michaud and Alice Michaud; and three brothers, Alphonse, Eddie and Tom Bouchard. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday 8 a.m. until the time of departure for Solider Pond, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Solider Pond, with the Most Rev. Richard Malone, Bishop of Portland, officiating. Committal service will full military honors will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
