MADAWASKA – Patrick Pelletier, 96, died Feb. 7, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Frenchville. He was born March 14, 1910, in Millinocket, the son of Jerry and Odile (Caron) Pelletier. Patrick always enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation. This led him to become a potato farmer until his retirement in 1973. Patrick was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grand-father, brother and friend. He was a well-respected man with a great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by his 13 children and their spouses, Marie Rose Cyr of Glastonbury, Conn., Anita and Roland Daigle of Manchester, Conn., Anthieme and Rolande Pelletier of Coventry, Conn., Cecile and Walter Lavoie of Frenchville, Irene and Yvon Roy of Newington, Conn., Omerine Kokozka of Fort Fairfield, Jackie Parent of Florida, Adrien and Gerard Pelletier, Therese and Ronaldo Gendreau, Claudette and Claude Gendreau and Rachel and Norman Beaulieu, all of St. David and Pauline and Robert Martin of Grand Isle; two sisters, Lucienne Levesque and Aurore Michaud, both of Madawaska, 54 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Mina (Dufour) Pelletier in 1987; and by one son, Alcide Pelletier. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at parish cemetery in the spring.
