BANGOR – Paul Baldacci, 48, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 26, 2006, at his Bangor home after a brief illness. He was born in Bangor, the fifth of eight children, to Robert and Rosemary Baldacci. Paul lived his life in Bangor, graduating in 1976, from Bangor High School. Paul was an integral part of his family’s well-known and loved restaurants, most recently as manager of Momma Baldacci’s, where he was also supervising renovations for the new restaurant and deli, at the Thatcher Street location. Paul’s welcoming smile, friendly hand and warm personality was given freely to all, and once experienced, forgotten by none. His passion for the Red Sox, golf with his brothers and the restaurant business filled his life and the lives of his family, friends and the “Coffee Club Crew,” which he hosted for many years, as did his father before him. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Rosemary Baldacci. He is survived by his loving and loved children, Paul Jr. and Elise Baldacci; his siblings, Robert Jr., Peter, John, Gerald, Joseph, Rosemary and Lisa Baldacci and their families; his restaurant crew, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He and his welcoming smile and kind words will also be missed by the countless friends and patrons he delighted in serving at Momma Baldacci’s. Arrangements to be announced in tomorrow’s edition of the Bangor Daily News.
