ST. AGATHA – Paul Lagassey, 65, died Aug. 27, 2006, with Claire at his bedside, at his home, after a second bought of cancer that took his life. He was born July 13, 1941, in St. Agatha, the son of Rosaire and the late Juliette (Ouellette) Lagassey. He is survived by his father, Rosaire of St. Agatha; and the love of his life, Claire (Clairma) Levesque, they enjoyed each others company; four daughters, Tina Lagassey of Arizona, Shelly and her husband, Pete Blanchette, of Madawaska, Jessica Lagassey of Arizona and Nathalie Pelletier and friend, Michael Akerley, of St. Basile, New Brunswick; one son, Eric Lagassey of Orlando, Fla.; his other family, Daren Levesque and his wife, Amy, of Watertown, N.Y., Kirk Levesque and his companion, Heather Dunn, of Old Town, and Kara Levesque and her companion, Michael Grant, of Bangor; special grandchildren, Billy and Kasie Blanchette; three sisters, Bernice and her husband, Roger Martin, of Madawaska, Lorraine and her husband, Richard Mullins, of Dixfield and Florence Mullins and her late husband, Lowell, of Bras D’ or N.S.; one brother, Robert and his wife, Louise, of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives may call at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Msgr. Leopold Nicknair officiating. For those who desire, flowers should be artificial arrangements, only because of allergies. Masses will be greatly appreciated or donations can be made to Hospice, care of Visiting Nurses of Aroostook or the Edgar Paradis Cancer Fund, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
