BANGOR – Pauline A. Madore-Shaw, 81, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at her home. She was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Milford, the daughter of Raymond and Ida (Grant) McLaughlin of Milford. In previous years she was employed by various home health care services in the area. She was an active member of the Pentecostal faith. She will be remembered for the love, kindness, and generosity she has shown throughout her life. Great is her reward in heaven; she will be missed by all the lives she touched. Surviving in addition to her husband, Linwood N. Shaw of Bangor, are 11 children, Roberta Overlock of Milford, George Williams of Alton, Starr Frazier of Apopka, Fla., Shelly Dolloff of Turner, Kay Benson of Winslow, Sandra Thruston of Fort Pierce, Fla., Dolly Davis of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Paul A. Madore of Greenbush, Paula Shorey of Alton, Paul H. Madore Jr., U.S. Navy, Tina Madore of Ocklawaha, Fla.; four sisters, Ruth Sherwood of Belfast, Alice Porter of Virginia, Flora Ogden of Hampden and Sadie Ogden of Greenbush; 30 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased, by her husband of 31 years, the love of her life, Paul H. Madore Sr.; son, Charles Williams, age one, daughter, Linda Smith; and brother, Charles McLaughlin. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 527 Hammond St. Bangor with the Rev. Jack Benson, the Rev. Robert Davis, and the Rev. Charles Hurst, officiating. Interment will be held immediately following the service at the Milford Cemetery.
