VEAZIE – Pauline E. Willett, 94, died March 24, 2008, at a Saco health care facility. She was born July 27, 1913, in Orono, the daughter of George O. and Agnes (Hogan) Willett. Miss Willett graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Orono, in 1931 and attended Beal’s Business School, Bangor, in 1932. She was employed by the University of Maine, College of Arts and Sciences for 47 years, retiring in 1979, as administrative assistant in the Dean’s office. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor and was an associate member of Veazie Garden Club. Miss Willett is survived by a sister, Charlotte Grochmal of Waynesboro, Va.; three nieces, Barbara Murch of Westford, Mass., Patricia Grochmal of Waynesboro, Va., and Pauline Feezell of Ponca City, Okla.; one nephew, Daniel Willett of Gorham; and four great-nieces, Kathryn McCarthy of Waltham, Mass., Lynne Alkire of Hampton Falls, N.H., Beth Willett of Berlin, Conn., and Laura Willett of Gorham. She was predece-ased by two brothers, Roland Willett and George Willett. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, at a later date and time to be announ-ced. Spring interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
