ELLENTON, Fla. – Pauline Kelley, 70, formerly of Manset, died July 31, 2007, at a Florida hospital. She was born June 20, 1937, in Northeast Harbor, to Heslyn Kelley and Georgia Hartley Kelley. She grew up in Northeast Harbor, graduated from the new high school and went on to attend Eastern Academy of Beauty Culture, Bangor. She worked in various salons, but her dream of having a shop in her own home was never realized. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, going to yard sales, having tea with friends, and family gatherings. She is survived by her children, Lynn Pettigrove of Chantilly, Va., John Kelley Jr. of Hancock, Kenneth Kelley of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Teresa Blanchard of Poland; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Kelley of South Windsor, Conn.; and a sister, Clara Everett of Corinth. She was predeceased by her husband, John; brothers, Edward and Heslyn; and a sister, Shirley. A memorial gathering celebrating Polly and John’s life together will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at Seawall Picnic Area.
