WEST ENFIELD – Pauline H. Pond, 82, went home to be with her Lord July 21, 2008, after a short illness. She was born March 16, 1926, in West Enfield, the daughter Uneeta and Edgar Hanson Sr., and was raised by the much-loved Tom and Stella Hodston. She was a member of Howland Baptist Church for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice S. Pond; her oldest son, Douglas S. Pond Sr.; a grandson, Jeremy Pond; brothers, Linwood Hanson and Ervin Hanson; and a sister, Greta Levesque. She is survived by two sons, Roger Pond of West Enfield and Stuart Pond of Lincoln; a brother, Edgar Hanson Jr. of West Enfield; half brother, Raymond Hanson of Van Buren; half sister, Evelyn of Van Buren; also five grandchildren, Douglas Jr., Bethellen, Jennifer, Jason and Hollyrae; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating. Interment will be at West Enfield Cemetery.
